At BinBreeze our mission is to reduce the impact of food waste everywhere it's produced. We achieve this by making the practice of food waste diversion or 'organics recycling' easy and better for the planet. Once we were just like you, setting up fruit fly traps and pinching our nose every time we opened our compost bin. We knew there had to be a better way to manage food waste at home and in the office — and it led us to founding BinBreeze.
BinBreeze is the world's first all-natural and non-toxic indoor composting powder. The circular economy product is made from waste wood that would otherwise be burnt, and that is instead processed and combined with specialty minerals. BinBreeze is scientifically formulated to instantly eliminate compost odors and emissions, and naturally dehydrate and eliminate fruit flies, all while creating a better compost for the garden or community. BinBreeze sequesters carbon that would otherwise be burnt and contribute to climate change, encourages food waste diversion and utilization within the home, and reduces the methane emissions of the waste prior to processing at a composting facility.

Taylor’s experience in business development, public speaking, and product design have been critical to the growth of the company. Bin Breeze is fueled by Taylor’s creative innovation, positive energy, and passion for sustainability.
Harmen Zijlstra
BSc, MSc, PHD
Harmen is a PhD chemist and science driven entrepreneur. Harmen teaches chemistry at the University of Victoria and brings 10+ years experience to our product research and development. Born in The Netherlands, Harmen has lived in 5 different countries and provides additional international experience and network connections that have helped us grow.
